Matt Araiza's Football Career could Continue in Mexico

TIJUANA - Former Buffalo Bills and San Diego State Punter Matt Araiza is trying to keep his career going South of the border.

Araiza has been practicing with the Tijuana Galgos, which is a part of a professional American football league in Mexico. But the former Bills player told NBC 7 he has not signed a contract with the team but did say he is applying for Mexican citizenship.

Araiza was released from the Bills after a civil suit was filed against him and two other former San Diego State football players, accusing them of raping an underage girl at an off-campus house party. The San Diego County District Attorney's Office decided not to file criminal charges in the case.
