What Workers Want at Workplace

It’s Monday morning and you’re finding it hard to get moving and maybe you need some extra time to get into the swing of things at the office.

That’s why today is a perfect day to hear about a recent study on drinking coffee and other morning beverages.

The researchers say that most workers drink their favorite beverage at work to help them get jump started and keep them going. While a hot cup of coffee is the most popular first drink of the day, participants also prefer cold drinks such as iced coffee, tea, water and flavored water.

The survey also found that there may be a link between drink preferences and work productivity.

Seventy-seven percent of coffee drinkers need two or more cups of coffee to feel productive on a workday, and not surprisingly, nearly a quarter of them say Mondays are the day of the week they need the most coffee.

Sixty percent drink a hot cup or two or three cups of hot coffee to improve their mood at work as well as make them more productive.

Interestingly nearly 40 percent of those surveyed would like the ability to brew hot and cold beverages at work.

And the study also suggests that workers who choose to work from home instead of working at the office would like working at the office more if they could get their coffee, tea, juice and water for free at the workplace.

And that for employers who want their employees at work, happy and productive, that could be the answer.
