Why California is No Longer #1 in 'This'

The new study on homelessness you’ve been hearing about it has prompted more concerns about the cost of housing and the cost of almost everything in California being higher than everywhere else.

With that news that nine out of every 10 people who are homeless became homeless after living in California and who did not move here because they’re homeless, it may lead more people who live in California deciding to move somewhere else where it’s not so expensive to live.

But maybe things are changing, slightly. In a new survey of gas prices around the country, California no longer has the highest price for gasoline.

According to Gas Buddy.com, the state of Washington has overtaken California for the highest price for a gallon of gas in the country.

They say gas prices in Washington have been climbing for months and their statewide average is now about one penny more than it is in California.

Okay while it’s not much, at least it’s some tiny bit of good news.

Just in case you are thinking of moving out of California, here are the five top states with the lowest gas prices, in order from the cheapest to the almost just as cheap: Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

But you also might want to check on the temperature and humidity in those states right now and not think about moving there till the winter.
