How Halloween and Holidays Are Helpful This Year

So it’s Halloween, a holiday that actually began long before today, with stores having already been filled with Halloween merchandise a couple of months ago.

And the next big holiday, Thanksgiving late next month, also has already begun with horns of plenty and pilgrim figures and displays having been in the stores now for weeks and weeks.

And of course signs of the Christmas holiday still a couple of month away, have been around it seems as if way back in the summer with Christmas in July sales. And the big box stores already having cleared out sections to make room for artificial trees, outdoor lights and displays and boxes of ornaments.

Yes, it does seem that retailers start earlier each year selling for these holidays.

And obviously we know why. Because it’s important to their sales and their bottom line. With the pandemic having left some deep economic scars, the healing for many businesses goes on.

But maybe it’s also an indication of a greater need that we all may have. With wars raging, the cost of living rising, shootings happening and politics dividing, we all can use the happier times and the smiles these holidays bring.

So let’s bring them on.
