How the Stories of Kids and Giving Helps Kids at Rady Children's Hospital

We’re talking a lot about kids today here on the radio and there has probably never been a more important time to talk about kids.

Because of what kids have gone through the last few years The disruptions on their lives from a pandemic that no one saw coming. And the impact of losing time in school and in their learning. Being isolated from friends and relatives during all those social distancing lockdowns.

They were times of worry for parents, many of whom are still worried about the impact of the pandemic on their kids. But then parents always worry about their kids, most especially when their kids become ill or are hurt in an accident.

And that’s why the stories you are hearing today and tomorrow on the radio told by parents and their kids, are so important to hear.

Not only do they remind all of as that our kids are the most precious blessings parents have, but that there are doctors and nurses at Rady Children's Hospital who are blessings themselves.

Those of us who have had kids and grandkids receiving care at Rady’s, know personally about those blessings.

Having had doctors there successfully remove a cancerous tumor from the little belly of our then-nine month old grandson, who’s now 16 years old and excels in music, you appreciate in a very special way the miracles that they provide at Rady Children’s Hospital.

All the stories you’re hearing tug at our hearts. And during this Christmas season of giving, the greatest gift any of us can give is one that helps the kids that need it the most.
