Is San Diego the Best Place to Live in California?

A recent survey polled a variety of travel experts to determine the top 5 places to live in California.

The timing is interesting because it comes at a time when the news is filled with not exactly positive events.

Take the scenes in San Diego of thousands of migrants seeking asylum being dropped off by the Border Patrol at transit stations.

From Los Angeles come videos of smash and grab robberies carried out by organized mobs.

In San Francisco, the news stories of thousands of homeless and the drugs and defecation, it’s not the images that Tony Bennet sang about when he left his heart there.

And from the state capital of Sacramento, the news stories flow about the huge state budget deficit and all the many laws and new taxes and of course the reports about lots of residents leaving California.

And in Orange County, making news are the stories about homes slipping down collapsing cliffs and train service being cut off.

So what are the 5 best places to live in California?

Number 5 is San Francisco. Number 4 is Irvine in the O.C.  Number 3 is Los Angeles. Number 2 is Sacramento and yes, San Diego was rated as the be the best place to live in California.

This recent survey cited our sunny weather, fabulous beaches, scenic views, the mixture of urban, suburban, and coastal living and the top-notch nightlife.

The only downside the survey said, “The cost of living is on the high side.”  Tell us something we don’t know.
