An arrest has been made in connection with the hit and run death of a 37-year-old construction worker who was directing traffic in Valley Center Monday.
The CHP says dispatchers received a call around 7 a.m. of the crash on Cool Valley Road east of Cole Grand Road. A construction flagman, directing traffic near a construction site, was hit by a Toyota Corolla, whose driver took off and left the scene.
His name was not immediately released pending notification of his family.
The CHP say officers found the alleged driver of the Toyota. He was booked into Vista Jail on multiple charges including felony hit and run. It was unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
