What KOGO's "Bethlehem Report" Is All About

It’s Christmas Eve and once again the KOGO News team will be bringing you the story of the first Christmas in what we call The Bethlehem Report.

If you are new to San Diego, you may not have ever heard it.

We take you back in time to the town of Bethlehem some 2,000 years ago to imagine what it would be like if a team of modern day radio reporters were there to cover it and bring the breaking news to listeners as it was happening.

That’s the idea behind The Bethlehem Report, a program that has become a San Diego radio tradition.

The KOGO News team is on the ground in Bethlehem with our reporters describing an unusual star, interviewing shepherds, the innkeeper, and residents.

You will hear the familiar voices you listen to every day on KOGO, including Veronica Carter and Bret Burkhart, Dan Mitchinson, Claire Umpleby Lucinda Kay, Jack Cronin, Phil Farrar and others.

Believe it or not, this is the 42nd year of the annual presentation of the Bethlehem Report on San Diego radio. Listeners over the years have told  us that they listen to it with their kids.

And that’s why you will also hear the voices of the eight grandchildren of my wife and I during this unique Christmas program.

The Bethlehem Report airs at 6 o’clock tonight, here on Christmas Eve, on KOGO and will be available on our website at KOGO.com.

Hope you and your family can join us as we bring you “The Bethlehem Report.”
