A warning for local college students. A SDSU student is still in shock after she says she was robbed at gunpoint outside her Point Loma home.
The 18-year-old says she had just pulled into her driveway on Fenelon Street Wednesday night after a long day of studying when two men came up behind her, pulled a gun and robbed her. They made off with cash, her bag and her laptop. She says police told her the thieves likely followed her home from the SDSU campus.
Police say that this is part of a disturbing trend where criminals follow students home and then rob them.
In this case, the suspects are described as six-feet tall and in their 20's.The teen says she will be carrying a taser or pepper spray with her from now on.
