A father killed a man who shot his son in Lemon Grove. Sheriff's deputies say they were called to a home in the 2400 block of Edding Drive around 2:00 this morning and found 22-year-old Francisco Suarez Jr. had been shot in the chest.
Deputies say two men went into the home, a fight broke out, and Suarez was shot. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Suarez's father, 44-year-old Francisco Suarez Sr., shot and killed one of the intruders. The second intruder ran from the home, and deputies are continuing their search for him.
They also are continuing their investigation into whether the suspects broke into the Suarez home, or if they knew the family. The suspects' names have not been released.
