A man is behind bars after police say he broke into two homes in the Rancho Penasquitos area. They say 34-year-old Jonathan Miranda broke into a home on Del Diablo Lane around 4:30 Monday afternoon while a mother and her daughter were inside. The two hid upstairs while Miranda snatched a laptop and took off. He then went up the street to Penasquitos Drive, where he snuck into another home, confronted a woman and robbed her. Miranda was taken into custody and neighbors say they recognized him, telling police that he is "bad news."
