LISTEN: Dealing With San Onofre's Nuclear Waste


There is currently a lot of nuclear waste being stored at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station south of San Clemente and at other locations in the nation. Under President Trump's budget plan proposed this week, money would be allocated to fund storage sites for that waste.

KOGO's Jack Cronin talked with San Diego Union Tribune Energy Reporter Rob Nikolewski about the proposed $120 million dollar plan to deal with the waste, including reopening a huge site outside of Las Vegas called the Yucca Mountain Repository.
