A suspected drunk driver heading the wrong way on the Coronado Bridge crashed her car into two pickup trucks, injuring all three drivers and prompting a shutdown of the bridge in both directions early Monday morning.
24-year-old Briana Rall of San Diego was behind the wheel, driving the wrong way, when she slammed into a truck just after 4:00a.m. The truck then hit another truck on the bridge. Rall was taken to the hospital, and was arrested on DUI charges.
The driver of the truck, a 49-year-old woman, had major injuries. The driver of the other truck, a 27-year-old man, had minor injuries. The bridge was shutdown for about two hours while police investigated.
