One man has died following the collapse of a concrete wall at a construction site in El Cajon Monday afternoon according to Heartland Fire and Rescue Department officials.
Crews worked feverishly to chip away at the wall to reach the man from a trench where he was trapped by the cinder block wall collapse at North Marshall avenue and Wagner Road. When they reached him they discovered he had already died.
A second man who escaped the wall collapse reportedly received minor injuries.
