Lyft Driver Missing After Crashing His Car

San Diego Police are asking for the public's help in finding a North Park man who family and friends say disappeared last week.

David Bernal-Medina was last seen driving his red SUV April 7.  That same day, CHP officers found the SUV crashed on the side of the 8, near the Jackson Drive off-ramp.

Friends and family have posted missing flyers with Medina's picture on storefronts.

Bernal-Medina’s partner, Josef Gonzales, shares a home in North Park with the 32-year-old Lyft driver in North Park.  He said they reported Bernal-Medina missing on last Friday.  He says it's very uncharacteristic for him to be gone this long.  He said Medina’s phone is dead and there has been no activity on Medina’s credit cards or bank account since last Wednesday.

Medina has not posted to his social media accounts either, which his partner said is unlike him.  Friends believe Medina may have been driving intoxicated early Thursday morning when he crashed after leaving the home of an acquaintance.

Anyone with information should contact San Diego Police's Department of Missing Persons at 619-531-2346.
