One person was killed and two were injured early Friday morning in El Cajon. The head-on crash happened in the 1800 block of Avocado Boulevard just before 4:30a.m. Police say a car and a truck slammed into each other, ripping the cab off the truck.
A passenger was killed, and police say both drivers were injured and taken to the hospital. Police closed Avocado Boulevard in both directions between East Chase Avenue and Fuerte Drive while they investigated.
