Sheriff's deputies are still trying to determine how a 71-year-old Rancho Santa Fe man died. Deputies say the man's wife came back to their home on La Brisa around 11:30 Tuesday morning, and found her husband dead, with trauma to his upper body. Investigators have not said exactly how he died.
Sheriff Lt. Kenn Nelson says there were no reports of a break-in and no reports of shots fired. No names have been released, but homicide detectives say they don't believe this was random, and have been looking for a specific person of interest.
Detectives will continue to investigate, and are searching the home, along with interviewing neighbors.
