Drone Delays Oceanside Brush Fire Fight

The 85-acre brush fire that was intentionally set in Oceanside Tuesday could have been much worse. CalFire says someone was flying their drone about 200 feet above ground.  CalFire Battalion Chief Burke Kremensky says that they had to stop the fire fight for an hour.

He says that just one drone could come through the windshield of an airplane or helicopter, causing the pilot to crash.  Federal law prohibits drones from interfering with emergency responses.

Fire crews did put out that brush fire, without damage to any homes.  35-year-old Jose Torres Jr. was arrested for setting the fire.  Now police are looking for the owner of the drone.
