At least one person was seen lying unresponsive on the sidewalk after reports of an active shooter in a National City neighborhood.
National City Police along with ambulances reported to the scene before 10 a.m. to calls of someone shooting at a home or apartment at East 8th Street and J Avenue. San Diego SWAT officers ware called to the scene and surrounded the area and cordoned it off. It's unclear how many victims there were. In addition to the covered body outside, witnesses said they saw two men with blood on them go into the house. It's not known how the incident began.
