This year's Big Bay Boom Fireworks show was not expected to be anything like the one five years ago 2012 that quickly became famous. That's when a computer problem led to all the fireworks going off at once at the beginning of the scheduled show. It was all over in less than a minute as hundreds of thousands of people encircling San Diego Bay wondered what happened and what they just saw. The company that produced the fireworks that year is NOT the firm that now produces the Big Bay Boom fireworks show, Pyro Spectaculars.
