Smoke from Mexico Fires Prompts Advisory for San Diego County

A smoke advisory has been issued for San Diego county due to fires burning south of the border.

The County of San Diego's Air Pollution Control District issued the advisory Thursday.

It advises people to limit their outdoor activity if they are in an area where smoke is present.

One of the fires in Mexico is burning near Rosarito but the smoke is wafting north into areas of San Diego County.

The APCD says if you are in an area where you can smell smoke, fine particulates could reach an unhealthy level.
