There is a renewed message being sent out by trauma doctors and others in the wake of the mass shooting at a church in Texas. It is part of a nationwide campaign coordinated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security called "Stop the Bleed."
The effort is designed to educate Americans on what to do if they are faced with someone who has been shot and wounded and how to stop the person's bleeding between the time of the incident and when paramedics arrive.
