A father is charged with DUI and hit and run, and his son is charged...with trying to help cover it up.
It happened around 10:30 Sunday night in City Heights when a man was driving on Orange Avenue and hit two parked cars so hard that one of his wheels fell off. He made it back to his home on Cherokee Avenue on just three wheels.
Officers were able to track down the driver and take him into custody. A police helicopter spotted the driver's son trying to drive the SUV and hide it. He then tried to run away from officers. Following a struggle, the driver's son was arrested. He faces obstruction and resisting arrest charges.
