A Tattoo May Be The Key To Finding Two Thieves


Two women, in scrubs, are wanted for targeting victims in the parking lots of Bank of America locations. A one thousand dollar reward is being offered if an arrest is made in this case.


San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Carlsbad Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate two unknown female suspects wanted for a series of check fraud and commercial burglary cases.

 On 1/10/18, two unknown female suspects targeted victims in various Bank of America locations in Carlsbad. 

The suspects were wearing medical scrubs. One female suspect was the driver and the other female suspect would contact the victim in the parking lot, asking the victim to cash a check usually for the amount of $4,900. The suspect then promises to pay the victim $40.00 for their help. After a few days, the victim learns that the checks were returned as fraudulent checks.

Investigators determined that both suspects have been targeting victims at various Bank of America locations throughout San Diego County. 

The total estimated loss was determined to be $44,000 in this series.
