Toys R Us Tells Employees All Stores Are Closing This looks like the end of an era.
Toys R U told employees that they are planning to sell or close all of its U.S. stores.
They plan on filing liquidation papers late Wednesday night ahead of a Thursday court appearance. However, the decision to liquidate the stores may not be the final chapter in this story.
If a buyer can be found who wants to buy some of the stores and operate them as an ongoing business, then Toys R Us may still have a chance.
Many in the toy business believe there is room for a smaller version of Toys R Us.
