The CHP says the accident happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday south of Alicia Parkway after an appearance Ferrell at Oceanside High School.

TMZ.com reported that Ferrell who's 50 years old was riding in an SUV that “got flipped over'' in the two-vehicle crash, and Ferrell, along with two other people, were taken to a hospital for treatment.  But a representative of the actor told TMZ Friday morning that Ferrell did not suffer any significant injury in the crash and had been released from the hospital.

Ferrell was one of three passengers in the chauffeur-driven SUV,which, according to witnesses, was side-swiped by the other vehicle, TMZ reported.  He was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, and a woman in the SUV with him was “more seriously injured,” according to TMZ.
