When a child goes into the foster care system, it can be a confusing and frightening experience but thankfully there are people who help navigate and advocate on their behalf.
Voices for Children is a local non profit organization here in San Diego and Riverside that provides kids with Court Appointed Special Advocates or ... CASAs. It works to train and supervise these CASA volunteers for their important role in the process.
Cliff Albert was joined by John Valencia, President and CEO of Voices for Children along with two CASA volunteers, Tim Riley and Meredith Cody to explain how volunteers help abused and neglected children as they find a new permanent home.
