Cal Fire Captain Issac Sanchez says any amount of rain in San Diego, including the small storm this week, will help keep the local vegetation alive longer into the year, but residents should be prepared for fires at any time.
Captain Sanchez spoke to KOGO News, saying there is no longer a traditional fire season, as the agency conducted a controlled burn in Alpine.
