A woman has used fake 100 bills at businesses in the North County. You could get real money if you find her.
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a woman wanted in connection with using counterfeit bills at local businesses in the North County.
On April 14, 2018, an unknown Hispanic woman used a counterfeit $100 bill at Yogurt 101 located at 153 N. Highway 101 in Solana Beach. She purchased $14 in food, paid with a counterfeit $100 bill and received $86 in change from the clerk.
On April 19, 2018, the same female suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill at Sun Splash located at 2673 Via De La Valle in Del Mar. She purchased lotion for $21, paid with a counterfeit $100 bill and got $79 in change.
The same suspect is also believed to have used a counterfeit $100 bill at a business in Carlsbad.
Description of Suspect: The suspect is described as a 25 to 35-years-old Hispanic woman who stands between 5’4” and 5’6” tall. She has long, dark wavy hair and a tattoo on the right side of her upper chest. The suspect also appears to be pregnant.
