Disguised Construction Worker Wanted for Thefts in North County

Police need your help to find a man wanted in connection with identity theft and a series of burglaries in the North County. Detectives say between January and May, the man donned a construction worker disguise when he broke into 10 homes. 

They say he got into homes in Mira Mesa, Rancho Bernardo and Poway by breaking sliding glass doors. He then proceeded to steal jewelry, cash and high-end purses. Police say, in one of the burglaries, the man took 30 federal savings bonds, which he then cashed at banks in Oceanside and Vista.  The suspect wore a construction worker disguise during all ten burglaries. 

Anyone with information should call the San Diego Police Department’s Northeastern Division at (858) 538-8047 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
