Dog Food Recall--Dave's Dog Food


Dave’s Pet Food is voluntarily recalling a single lot of Dave’s Dog Food 95% Premium Beef can due to elevated levels of beef thyroid hormone.

This is a voluntary recall after one of the batches came back positive in a test performed by the FDA. The test showed a batch had elevated thyroid hormone levels. Dog Food Advisor states, “FDA analyzed the product after receiving a complaint that four dogs consuming it were found to have low Free T4 (fT4) and Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).”

SYMPTOMS OF ELEVATED THYROID

– increased thirst and urination– increased heart rate– restlessness– vomiting– weight loss– diarrhea– rapid breathing

If you have fed any of the recalled product and your pet is showing any of the above symptoms, call your vet immediately.
