House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is blasting the Trump administration from San Diego.
Pelosi and a number of other Congressional Democrats visited today an immigration detention facility.
The site houses migrant children who have been separated from their families or arrived in the country unaccompanied. Pelosi said Trump could rescind the practice "in a moment," and called Republican claims that proposed legislation could correct the situation a "fraud."
She said it's not an immigration issue, but a humanitarian one.
San Diego U.S. Representative Juan Vargas called the administration's policy of ripping children from their parents' arms "an immoral act."
