San Carlos Teen Creates Duck Tape Prom Dress

A San Carlos girl is one step closer to $10,000 thanks to Duck Tape. 18-year-old Anne Pacheco Timmerman beat out thousands of contestants nationwide and is now in the top 5 for Duck Tape's "Stuck At Prom" scholarship contest.

The high school senior used 15 rolls of Duck Tape and spent 120 hours to create her green, red, yellow, pink and white, off-the-shoulder, mermaid style prom dress. For added flair, she even made a flower crown, a clutch, corsage and high heels... all made from Duck Tape, of course.

Online voting continues through June 25th and a winner will be announced July 9th. If she wins, she gets a $10,000 scholarship. She says she hopes to study graphic design at SDSU.
