The Department of State Hospitals is proposing to place another sex predator in the community of Jacumba Hot Springs. The hearing date for the proposed placement of Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Alvin Quarles will be held October 12, 2018.
Alvin Quarles is known as the Bolder Than Most Rapist, because he forced men to take part or watch him rape his victims.
Quarles was convicted of raping four women and sentenced to 50 years in prison in 1989.
In 2013, Quarles became eligible for parole was instead transferred to a state hospital.
A hearing will be held on the release of Quarles on October 12th at San Diego Superior Court at 9:00 a.m. in Department 2204 at San Diego Superior Court 1100 Union Street San Diego, CA 92101.
Public comment is being taken until September 5th by email, phone or mail.
These comments will be forwarded to DSH and to the Superior Court before the Hearing on this matter.
