Wife Of Oceanside Murder Victims Offers Reward

Oceanside Police say a reward amount has been increased to find the killer of John Roth.

The 77 year old man was found dead in his home on North Tremont Street the morning of Tuesday, August 14th.

Police say he could have been killed while he was sleeping during a burglary gone bad.

His wife found him when she got home from her job, and several items were missing, including jewelry, a wooden jewelry box, a computer and LG phone.

Someone also found a purse belonging to Roth's wife dumped in an alley, less than a quarter mile from the home.

She is offering five thousand dollars in reward money, in addition to the one thousand from Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest.

People can call Crime Stoppers and remain anonymous.
