New Study On Marijuana: Vaping vs. Smoking

A new study compares vaping marijuana to smoking marijuana, and the results show the effects can be different.

Dr. Laura Crotty Alexander is with the VA San Diego Health Care System and a Professor of Medicine at U-C San Diego. She tells KOGO News vaping is more concentrated, also produces some different side effects for some, including nausea, anxiety and paranoia.

The latest data also show young people who vape anything, tobacco or marijuana, think its safer.

She also says vaping is now seen as a gateway to smoking cigarettes, which right now is on the decline throughout the U-S.
