San Diego police say three Lyft passengers who were drunk stole items from their rideshare driver and rummaged through a parked ambulance in the College Area before running off.
San Diego police told reporting partner 10Nedws the three men were about to be dropped off in the 7000 block of Mohawk Street around midnight Wednesday night when they asked their Lyft driver to pull over after they saw a parked ambulance. According to police, one of the passengers mentioned that his mother was inside the ambulance.
A paramedic caught one of the passengers searching the ambulance and chased him back to the Lyft. At the same time, the other passengers stole the rideshare driver’s business cards and a few bags of potato chips before running away. Cops looked for the three men but could not find them There were no reports of injuries.
