FBI Needs Your Help To Find San Diego Robber

The FBI is asking for help to find a robber who it says held up six credit unions in the San Diego area since late December. The first happened at a credit union on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and the most recent was Saturday at a credit union in Chula Vista.

The full list of robberies include:

December 28, 2018: Mission Federal Credit Union - 4250 Clairemont Mesa Blvd

January 29, 2019: Cal Coast Credit Union - 4265 Genesee Avenue

February 7, 2019: San Diego County Credit Union - 11965 Bernardo Plaza Drive

February 9, 2019: Mission Fed Credit Union - 4250 Clairemont Mesa Blvd

February 16, 2019: Mission Federal Credit Union - 10393 Spring Canyon Road

February 23, 2019: California Coast Credit Union - 1741 Eastlake Parkway

In each heist, the man wore gray gloves, a hat and sunglasses. He handed the tellers a note demanding cash, then left the credit unions. The FBI says in two of the robberies, the man carried a motorcycle helmet into the credit unions. The robber also carried a calculator in his hand and held it to his ear like a cellphone during several of the robberies.

Anyone with information about the robberies should call the FBI’s San Diego office at 858-320-1800 or San Diego Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
