A bill to ban the sales of flavored tobacco products in California stores and vending machines has been approved by a state senate committee.
If Senate Bill 38 were to become law, it would ban the sale of all forms of flavored tobacco products from e-cigarettes, cigars and chew to nicotine-laced juice for e-cigarettes.
State Senator Jerry Hill authored the bill, with 17 other legislators. It is aimed at addressing what he says is an explosive growth of flavored e-cigarette juice among teens as young as middle school.
