College graduations are underway and if you’re the parent of a new grad you’re proud and pleased and happy that your bank account will have more money it in now.
And if you’re a 2019 graduate, you’re pleased all those assignments and class projects are over and also maybe a bit worried about finding that career job.
A story at the Money.com web site has some good news.
They say the percentage of college graduates finding jobs in their graduation year has been going up since 2012 as the economy has recovered with about 55% of the class of 2018 finding a job before the end of that year.
And they’re out with a top ten list of the most popular categories of jobs based on a report from LinkedIn for grads the last two years.The average starting salaries for these 10 kinds of jobs ranged from 31,000 to 83,000.
In order of popularity, not salary, they are:
1 Software engineer
2. Registered nurse
3. Salesperson
4. Teacher
5. Accountant
6. Project Manager
7. Administrative Assistant
8. Account Executive
9.Financial Analyst
10. Account Manager
This is only one top ten list and there are a lot of other kinds of jobs out there, too, so congratulations and good job hunting!
