Each year, the USS Midway Museum pays tribute to the men and women who have died while serving their country in a series of events over Memorial Day weekend, ranging from a wreath memorial ceremony to a benefit concert onboard the ship.
"Legacy Week" begins Friday with the Freedom Concert featuring recording artist Daughtry which benefits local organizations that support members of the military. Ticket information is available HERE. In addition to the concert, there's a blood drive and a number of activities throughout the Memorial Day weekend.

He joined KOGO's LaDona Harvey and Ted Garcia during San Diego's Morning News to talk about the importance of the museum to the community and the weekend ahead onboard one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
