So why does the O-J case, the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman on this day in 1994, still draw so much attention and still are so much talked about and written about…25 years later.
Because it remains just as sensational a story now that it was when it all began.
And anyone who was around then, can probably tell you they remember so much about it, from the slow chase on L-A freeways of the white Ford Bronco, to watching live was called at the time, the Trial of the Century, to O-J’s attorney’s famous line to the jury that if the glove did not fit they could not convict.
And we all can probably remember what happened when the verdict did come in. Not guilty, and then the shock and the outrage that people still talk about to this day, a quarter century later.
While OJ Simpson was later found liable in a civil wrong death lawsuit and then served time in prison for 9 years in a somewhat connected armed robbery and kidnapping case, he’s now a free man.
And there are plenty of people, and not just family and friends of his victims, including Ron Goldman's sister Kim, who remain troubled by justice not being done. And who still want OJ to pay for the brutal murders many believe he committed that night in L-A 25 years ago today.
