The Arrest of El Chapo's Son Sparks Epic Gunbattle in Mexico

Heavily armed fighters surrounded security forces Thursday, and forced them to free one of drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman's sons. His capture triggered gunbattles and a prison break that sent civilians in Culiacan scurrying for cover.

National Guard militarized police first came under attack from within a house in the city 770 miles northwest of Mexico City. They were able to free able to free Ovidio Guzman. Culiacan is a Sinaloa stronghold.
