The House Intelligence Committee is holding the hearings which features the first public testimony in the impeachment inquiry of President Trump.
The first witnesses to testify include Bill Taylor, acting ambassador at the U.S. embassy in Ukraine and George Kent, assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs.
Committee chair Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff and Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the panel, kick off the hearing with their opening statements.
In the first round of questioning, Schiff and Nunes will each get 45 minutes to pose questions to the witnesses, at Schiff's discretion. They can also yield that to a designated staff member.
