WATCH: Will Washing Our Hands Become the New Normal?

How was your Easter? Probably very different.

No going to church. No Easter egg hunts on the lawn. No family gatherings at grandma and grandpa’s house.

With so many of us connecting with each other from afar, via social media video streams or phone calls, we will remember the Easter of 2020 as being the first truly virtual or digital holiday.

And it can make you wonder if the next holiday will be like Easter was.Memorial Day, when going to the beach or gathering in the park are some of the things you do, will we be able to do them?

Will the restrictions on gatherings and requirements to physically distance ourselves still be in force by late May?

And if the public health orders are lifted by then, will we all still be cautious about where we go and what we do and how many we are with?

The experts say it could be June before things start to get back to normal with some saying it could be mid-summer to early fall before things get back to normal.

With no vaccine expected for at least several months if not a year or so, getting back to normal probably won’t mean the virus is completely gone and may return in some areas like the seasonal flu.

But at least we all have learned how to be better at doing things that help prevent us from getting any virus or bug. Welcome to the decade of washing hands.
