What We're Learning From Going Through the Pandemic; Tips for Parents

We’re all learning a lot of things as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

One of the things most of us are probably learning is that we take a lot of the things for granted. Such as going anywhere you want to go when you want to go there. And being able to go school every day.And being able to go to your job every day. And having a job to go to.

Among others; going to church, going to a baseball game, or to the movies or to a concert.Holding and attending birthday parties and weddings.

Getting together with friends, getting together with the whole family, and being able to hold and kiss new babies in the family.

And now with the record setting heat wave, we are reminded that we can’t take for granted being able to turn on the switch and have the lights come on thanks to Flex Alerts and rolling power blackouts.

The pandemic is teaching us, or at least reminding us, that sometimes things you expect to happen, don’t happen. And things that you never thought could happen sometimes do happen.

But at the same time, we’re also realizing that we are not as grateful as we should be for the things we do have, especially the special things like families, friendships and faith.

More appreciation for others could very well be what will come out of this pandemic that is making us wiser about the most important things in life.
