Governor Newsom Has Not Taken Promised Pay Cut

California's multi-millionaire Governor, Gavin Newsom promised to take a pay cut in May when he cut the salaries of state worker's by 10%. As the second highest paid governor in the United States, Newsom receives an annual salary of $210,000, which amounts to $17,500 a month.

When confronted on the lack of decrease in his pay by The Sacramento Bee, Newsom said that it was simply an "oversight," and it's reported that he contacted the California State Controller asking that his pay adjusted with the decrease retroactively.
