San Diego County remains in the Red Tier in the California's COVID monitoring system but state officials release new data and tier status on Tuesday.

San Diego County on Sunday reported 279 new coronavirus cases and a positive test rate of 3-percent with 8 of the new cases connected to San Diego State. More than 1,000 cases have been reported by SDSU since the Fall semester began on August 24th. There was one new community outbreak reported, at an unspecified business. One new COVID-19 death was reported in the county with the total now 776.. ..
