UC San Diego Health, which operates the county's largest vaccination sites, announced Monday afternoon that the super station will be open Tuesday after initially saying it would have to closed. .

Second-dose appointments have been rescheduled automatically. Those affected by the delays are advised to check their MyUCSDChart account or look for an email with details about their new appointment date.

County officials say the delays of vaccine shipments have been the result of the severe winter storms that hit much of the country, from Texas to the Deep South to the the Midwest and the northeastern U.S.

Other vaccination sites in the county also are being impacted. The super station at CSU San Marcos will be offering only second doses for now. The same thing is happening at more than a dozen smaller vaccine sites in the county. The county appointments for first doses will be automatically rescheduled through the state’s online MyTurn system.
