San Diego Gets Another 80,000 Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine

The almost 80,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses being shipped to San Diego County started arriving on Tuesday. These new doses which will allow the county to resume first dose appointments and get caught up on missed second dose appointments.

Over 828,000 COVID-19 doses have been delivered to San Diego County to date, with close to 752,000 being administered. The new shipment of 80,000 doses is expected to be administered in the next seven days.

The county say that nearly 185,000 San Diegans are fully vaccinated.

As of February 23, 2021, San Diego has reported 257,805 confirmed cases COVID-19 and 3,218 deaths.
